The History of our Gift Boxes

We have come to realise that extra-virgin olive oil is a most appreciated gift. We are particularly pleased when a customer tells us: “I would like to buy for oil for a gift.”
How Gift Boxes came about
The idea of a gift box originated from the desire to blend two typical Umbrian products: our extra-virgin olive oil and Deruta ceramics – which are entirely hand-made and hand-painted. A perfect combination that is a reminder of a lingering tradition, while speaking of passion for one’s work and innovation.
The Practicality of a Gift Box
We receive an incredibly amount of enquiries on how to best store olive oil in the house.
When buying EVO Oil in a can, we always recommend transfering it into an oil jar – not a plastic container. This why we committed a ceramics jar, which best preserves the taste and the organoleptic characteristics of an olive oil.
We wished to give our customers something that would last“over time”.”. Something to remind of us with pleasure, to remind them of our love for the territory, simplicity, and authenticity.
The Various Types of Gift Boxes
Our customers may choose from three different types of gift boxes:
The “D.O.P. gift box” containing a 500ml bottle of Umbria Colli Martanti D.O.P. extra-virgin olive oil with anti-topping cap and a Deruta ceramics hand-made jar.
The “BIO gift box” containing a 500ml bottle of BIO extra-virgin olive oil with anti-topping cap and a Deruta ceramics hand-made jar.
The “GUSTOLIO gift box” which differs from the other gift boxes because it containsa 500ml bottle of Umbria Colli Martani and a 500ml bottle of BIO extra-virgin olive oil, both with anti-topping caps. One box for two certified products of the highest quality.
